The State of the Indian Republic

As India celebrates 71 years of being a Republic, this presentation
will attempt to look at the political balance sheet of the country. The working of
the constitutional framework, the emerging ` Idea of India`, the framework of
political governance, the dynamics of democratic politics and the socio-economic
aspirations of a 21st century India would be focused on. The speaker will draw
from empirical data and survey research to put forth an argument on the
current state of the Indian Republic.
